Did you know? All WORLDFOODS products are suitable for vegetarians and vegans? WORLDFOODS products are produced using all natural ingredients, authentic herbs and spices and do not contain gluten, eggs, dairy or any animal products. They are also free from preservatives, MSG, artificial colours and flavours.
- What is a Vegan?
"Vegetarian" is defined as avoiding all animal flesh, including fish and poultry. Vegetarians who avoid all animal products including dairy, eggs and honey are known as vegans. Scientific research shows that vegetarians are healthier than meat-eaters and vegans are the healthiest overall.
- Why become a Vegan?
Many people choose to be vegans for health reasons. While many others choose this lifestyle for environment or ethical reasons. They believe that they have a responsibility to do their part to promote a more humane and caring world.
- Vegan Nutrition
However, it is also important that vegans ensure that their diets contain various sources of plant food to provide them with a balanced and nutritionally complete diet. Nutrients that need more specific consideration to ensure optimal intakes are vitamin B12, calcium, iron, protein and zinc, where key sources are in animal products.
- Vegan Foods
Today, there are a wide variety of vegan foods available such as vegan cheese, vegan chocolate, vegan ice-cream, vegan mayonnaise, vegan sausages and vegan yogurt. For those who prefer to cook their own meals, we have a few new recipes suitable for vegans and vegetarians.
